SAYes Mentoring has been fortunate to receive invaluable support from Refinitiv/LSEG over the years, both through the dedication of their employees who volunteer as mentors in our programmes, and through significant donations of equipment (laptops for mentees, backup power inverters for Child & Youth Care Centres) and funding technical infrastructure and expertise at SAYes.
Together LSEG and SAYes regularly host engagement events with mentees and LSEG team, especially for employee networks such as the LSEG Women Inspired Network (WIN).
BLOG HIGHLIGHT
In celebration of Youth Day, the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg partnered with SAYes ambassadors to host a powerful Social Change Challenge event.
The event opened with an inspirational talk on the transformative power of mentorship, setting the tone for a hands-on and purpose-driven afternoon. SAYes alumni and LSEG staff then broke into small teams to develop and pitch creative mentor recruitment strategies, aimed at expanding access to mentoring for young people in need. From dynamic brainstorming sessions to public outreach efforts with flyers, the event blended strategy with heart. The day closed with an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding ideas and team engagement, leaving everyone energized and more deeply connected to the mission. This initiative not only strengthened community ties but also helped unlock new pathways to mentorship — bringing fresh energy to the SAYes vision of youth thriving through supportive relationships.
